Riding in San Francisco and the Marin Headlands means dealing with constant climbs and fast descents, so having a reliable braking system is essential. I recently upgraded to the Ardennes RA Black (rim brake) wheelset, and the difference is remarkable.
In dry conditions, these wheels have significantly improved my stopping power, giving me more confidence on steep descents compared to my previous set. The braking is responsive and precise, exactly what I was looking for. I haven’t tested them in wet weather yet, but based on their dry performance, I have high expectations.

The decals were easy to install but removing all air bubbles took some time. This is the second pair of Hed Wheels I've owned, these are Vanquish 62's, and I can't say enough about how great they are to ride. They will transfer a normal road or tri bike into a rocket ship.
Bought this set to replace worn out black decals on my wheels. White ones look better on my bike and it was easy to remove and replace than Zipp decals. I love HED products.

Great rims for those of us still using rim brakes. Nice wide platform for road tires, mounted Conti 4 season 28mm on these and they measure right at 30mm using vernier calipers. Easy to build and high quality.
I have not ridden in them yet, but initial thoughts are the quality of the wheel build and attention to detail is excellent. The wheels are perfectly true and the spokes sound uniformly balanced around the wheel. Excellent workmanship all around.

The disc wheel has performed well, and even though it came with white decals although i asked for black. HED shipped the black decals with extras to me. extremely nice and helpful customer service
