What Makes a Black Rim Different?

We took everything we’ve learned over four decades of building wheels and applied it to a stealthy, all-black finish. These are not painted rims. Our black alloy brake track is anodized and precision-machined to support consistent braking, improved control, and dependable heat management.

JET RC Black and Ardennes RA Black

HED offers two Black Series options for rim brake riders:

  • JET RC Black Series : An aerodynamic carbon-and-alloy hybrid wheel with a black brake track. Available in multiple rim depths for road racing, triathlon, and fast everyday riding.
  • Ardennes RA Black : A lightweight aluminum clincher designed for responsive handling, smooth ride quality, and confident braking.
